when attaching my joy con to the switch, it will make the animation that the controller is connected to the console.
i’ve tried power cycling the console, desyncing and resyncing the controllers,
replacing the rail, using multiple joycons.
nothing works, any help would be appreciated,

I have the exact same issue with the right joy con. I haven't tried to replaced the rail on the joy con or the console yet. I just did a shell and stick replacement, but the cable from the rail in the joy con appear to be correctly plugged. Did you figured it out?
