White wire by the card reader

I just replaced my headphone jack with your card reader and noticed a white wire by the card reader that was loose. When I reassembled the switch the card reader worked fine but I still don’t hear any sound from the headphone jack . I’ve tried several headphones but no luck. Do you know if the white wire is for headphone jack?
