Power Supply does not work anymore after water accident

The notebook (A1465) had unfortunately contact with water. I have openend it, disassembled the battery and the flash drive and dried everything. After having reassembled everything, I have connected the battery again and the notebook has started normal, but the power supply does not work anymore.

If I switch it off, I cannot start it anymore unless I open the case again, disconnect the battery and reconnect it again.

What can I do now?

Update (02/05/2021)

Hi Dan,

thanks a lot for your quick reply! The battery can be charged in case the notebook is running or in sleep mode, but not in case it is fully switched off. Please find here the screenshot from Coconut Battery:

Unfortunately, another problem occurred: Wifi cannot be activated anymore - even in case I click the button “activate” in system preferences. Strangely and in contrast to this, in the menu bar Wifi is marked as activated, but none of the visible networks is shown.

At this point it does sound like your logic boards charging logic needs attention. You also appear to have an AirPort board failure or the logic which drives it on the logic board is also affected.

This might be repairable, but it will need someone with much deeper skills and tools to fix. Or, you’ll just need to replace the logic board.

Thanks a lot. That confirms my gut feeling that replacing the logic board is probably the way to go...
