@deboya sounds like a bad switch. Check the contacts to make sure the switch opens those. Since we don't see what you see it will be up to you to troubleshoot the switch or you can try and post images of what the contacts look like etc. with your QUESTION so that we see what you see. I have the same problem. The head lamp is over 25 years old. It does not have a sliding or push button switch. It has been years since I used the lamp, but I thought it turned off and on by turning the head lamp bezel; however, the bulb comes on as soon as I put in the batteries and turning the bezel does nothing.
