@benjaminze first off my apologies to answer you in English. My German is really rusty and would just confuse you. Time for me to get back into it ;-)

What an interesting error. Of course, you did reset your SMC? You are using an original power adapter (MagSafe)? At first, I would have thought that this is a battery error, but you said it charges. That means that your MBP detects that a battery is present and charges it as needed. So the error would be somewhere in the power circuitry of the MBP. Before getting this deep into it, I would check the battery condition etc. first. That way we can be sure that the battery(s) are okay. Download something like coconutBattery from here Post a picture of what the main window shows you and post that with your QUESTION. After that, I suggest you run the Apple Diagnostics by D key after clearing SMC. Let us know it if shows any errors.

Use this guide to add your images. You will have to edit your QUESTION to add those. https://de.ifixit.com/Anleitung/Bilder+z...

Not sure if this will help you with your MBP since it is written in English. Mbp 13 2012 Mid

Mbp 13 2012 Mid

Hi thank you so much for looking into this! I put a picture in the question. I also ran the diagnostics but it gave me ADP000 - no errors found. I wonder if it might be something like a slightly faulty power button or a lead between Battery and magsafe socket. I'm using an original Magsafe and tried to reset SMC and PRAM several times.

@benjaminze great job in adding the battery information. For now, I would suggest that you do change your battery. It is pretty much on it's "last leg" I am not saying that this will resolve the issue, but it will at least give a "known well" starting point for further troubleshooting. Looking at your board (should be a 820-3115) I would think that if there are any board issues, it would be somewhere with the PPVBAT rail. It should be bidirectional which in your situation (unless it is the battery :-) is not the case.

@oldturkey03 well I've got three different batteries, I've inserted another one, see new screenshot. That one looks better but it still doesn't work as it's supposed to;) The Board issue sounds interesting. Is there anything one could do about that PPVBAT rail?

von

@benjaminze everything you would need to trace it and check the components can be downloaded from here I think it's around page 63. You will need to do some checking on the components and traces.

von

Oh thank you @oldturkey03 ! I think I'm not good enough with reading schematics and soldering small parts, but thank you so much for offering your insights!
