My sony cyber shot dsc s750 is not turning on
recently found my cyber shot dsc s750, bought new batteries, charged it, still wont turn on. is it because i havent used it for years? pls help

@rosiep time to take your camera apart. Check for corrosion, disconnected, torn ribbon cables, check the main board for odd looking components. Your camera actually has two fuses. One is the power fuse and one is the charging fuse. Check for continuity with a multi-meter. Once you have your camera apart, post some good pictures with your question. Remove batteries and examine all battery connectors for oxidation and/or corrosion. A pencil eraser or mild scrubbing pad can remove corrosion and may allow full battery voltage to power up your cyber shot.

@notbroken connectors are all good. tried cleaning it too just to be sure but it still didn't work

The Sony site mentions when the camera isn't used for a period of time, recharging the battery is needed. "After putting in the battery, it may take a few minutes before the power turns on because the camera status is being checked. This is not a malfunction." There's an internal rechargeable battery for clock and memory that gets recharged from the main battery. This shouldn't interfere with powering on the camera. You can try recharging the battery again and see if the camera powers up. I think this is a battery issue and not a 'bricked' camera electronics. I have a very old Nikon Coolpix 2500 and it still works but I have to recharge the battery before use. Similar removable battery pack for recharging in its charging cradle.
