Die Logitech M215 optische Drahtlosmaus sendet zum  USB Dongle im 2.5 GHz Band. Der USB Empfänger kann bei praktisch jedem Gerät  eingesteckt und betrieben  werden, da generische Maustreiber benutzt werden.

Die Maus ist kompatibel mit folgenden Betriebssystemen: Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X 10.4 oder höher und Linux mit Kernel 2.6 oder höher. Sie ist mit einem intelligenten Batteriemanagement ausgestattet, welche das Gerät automatisch in den Schlafmodus versetzt und eine Alarm-LED aktiviert, wenn die Batterie schwach wird. Zur Versorgung dient eine AA Batterie.  Die Modellnummer (M-R0013) befindet sich auf dem Aufkleber rechts vom Batteriefach.
