Background
The Beyerdynamic MMX 150 is an over-ear closed-back digital wired gaming headset, released in 2021. The MMX 150 were released along with its analog sibling, the MMX 100.
The MMX 150 is similar to the analog MMX 100, with the same build and tuning, but the MMX 150 is a digital headset with a built-in sound card. The initial version is wired, but a wireless version of the MMX 150 was released in 2025. The headset connects via USB-C to the headset, and terminates into either USB-A or a 3.5 mm headphone jack making it compatible with most consoles. The headset has a removable microphone.
The headset uses 32 ohm 40 mm drives, housed in plastic earcups with a metal frame.
