Background
The Garmin Nuvi 2557LMT GPS Navigator was released in January 2013 as a successor to the Garmin Nuvi 2555LMT. It comes pre-loaded with detailed maps of North America, and allows free downloads of updated maps to keep the device up-to-date.
The Nuvi 2557LMT can be used with the BC 30 Wireless backup camera, sold separately.
Identification
It is a black-and-silver GPS unit with a 5.0-inch display that can be used in either horizontal or vertical orientation. The device measures 5.4 × 3.3 × 0.76 inches (13.7 × 8.3 × 1.9 cm) and weighs 6.6 ounces (188 g).
To identify your Garmin nüvi 2557LMT, look for the Garmin logo centered on the silver bottom bezel. The model and serial numbers are printed on a white label on the back of the device, usually beneath or partially covered by the mounting bracket. If the label is missing, you can find the model information in the device settings or on the original packaging. Another Garmin logo is printed on the back casing to the right of the bracket.
