Background
The MSI GS75 Stealth is a high performance gaming laptop manufactured by Micro-Star International (MSI). The GS75 was released in 2019 as a part of MSI’s stealth series, which is focused on combining strong performance suitable for gaming, video creation and performance heavy applications in a light and portable package. This laptop is perfect for users who want desktop-like gaming power in a lighter, more discrete package.
The GS75 replaced previous Stealth models such as the GS73VR, with major improvements in GPU, display refresh rates, and an upgraded cooling design, while simultaneously maintaining its sleek design. Later models eventually succeeded it, with newer processors, updated GPUs and design upgrades in the GS76 Stealth.
The GS75 Stealth became known for delivering powerful RTX graphics while remaining slimmer than many competitors at the time. However, it has been associated with issues that are common with many thin gaming laptops. These common issues include thermal management challenges, fan wear, battery degradation, and keyboard/hinge stress. These factors mean that repair information for the cooling system, battery, and storage or memory is valuable for this laptop.
The GS75 was widely reviewed and stocked by major retailers and sold internationally across North America, Europe, and Asia. At launch, the GS75 was sold for approximately $2000-$3000 USD, depending on the exact configurations.
Identification
To identify the MSI GS7510SGS, all MSI products have identification stickers on the bottom, where you can identify the specific GS75 model you own, with the hinges facing north or upwards. Near the bottom left of the panel, there should be a sticker with an SKU (e.g., SKU-GS75 STEALTH 10SGS (model number) - XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). This should let you identify the MSI GS75 model you own, since there are many iterations.
