I replaced the front glass because it was cracked and the battery since the phone had been used for years and I was gifting it to a family member.
Meine Reparatur
Repair was straight forward, although somewhat tedious but fun. Screw map was very useful. The step regarding the logic board anti-chaffing rubber was a bit puzzling. Mine fell off and the picture didn't show where it went but common sense prevailed. Phone started up fine, but there was static when using the camera. I had replaced the ground carefully and wiped down glass and metal with alcohol. It went away so I'm happy, just a mystery.
Mein Rat
I put double-sided tape on my screw map so that any screw would not jiggle off position.
