Repair cracked screen.

Meine Reparatur

Part installed perfectly according to instructions on iFixit site. Worked fine after re-assembly except ear speaker (came with screen) sounded gravelly and awful. Took apart and installed speaker from old broken screen (removal instructions also on iFixit, but took some hunting) and now works as good as new. Only flaw was the speaker.

Mein Rat

Work slowly, particularly if you don't do this regularly. Never become impatient or all is lost. It will work if you are careful.

Carefully think through each step. It's easy to miss one on re-assembly and have to take apart to fix.

Keep track of screw locations and don't mix them up.

Do not over-tighten screws. These are easily stripped. A bit of Lock-tite or similar helps with peace of mind regarding loosening screws.
