Mein Problem
My PlayStation 3 died with the YLOD problem and I wanted to retrieve my saved files, game disc and media.
Meine Reparatur
The repair went well, but ran into some issues when I took my PS3 apart. I had to remove some smaller parts in a different order than in the repair manual. Also, one of the screws got stripped when I tried to take it out and had to get a screw extractor to remove it without damaging other parts.
Mein Rat
Make sure you have all the tools needed available before you start. The ifixit kit definitely works well. Take your time and just use common sense if you run into an issue. Oh and I would recommend to take out the hard drive first and putting it in a safe place before doing anything else in the manual.
