Electronics is my career and hobby!
Background:
I am and Electrical Engineer by trade. Decided to study my M.S. in Biomedical Engineering which I recently completed. Now pursuing my PhD for fun.
How did I get into the repair business?
One of my friends broke her iPhone and decided to give it a shot. I loved the experience and kept doing it on the side while going to school. I asked her to keep the screens that came in the toolkit instead of money... haha
A few months later I opened my first shop in Memphis, TN and it has been a very fun experience. This was in 2012 so I have been in the industry for a little while now. I am very experienced with refurbishing and micro soldering, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Metal spudger is never a good idea against motherboard. Use heat gun for a FEW seconds while you wiggle board out. It will come off easily!
Guys.. COME ON.. BATTERY FIRST before connector.
Take the SIM card and the SD Card before the next STEP!!
Go to step 4 on this tutorial. You can swap it out with a different one if needed.
What do you mean spot weld? The ear speaker mesh is glued around the ear speaker hole, you can purchase these individually.
The backlight power flex is still soldered to the flex cable like other models. The only difference is that the force touch is part of the backlight.
Dylan, if this is due to screen being refurbished keep in mind the "assembling" of the screen in the refurbishing process is done in a clean dust free environment.
