If the Boot Files are missing you need to reinstall the system. However, you *might* loose all your data. However, booting to Windows Recovery from your windows installer disk and opening Command Prompt and entering *fdisk /fixmbr* might work.

I would suggest Redsn0w+Cydia=Jailbreak. You can't login to the app store anymore but there are games and tweaks and themes on Cydia. You may even find a tweak that allows you to login to the App Store.

Hello, I've had similar problems and restoring with Libmobiledevice may help. Google it.

I know this is a old question or something like that but in case you are still looking for an answer I've seen people disconnect the coms board before DFU restore and reconnect it after the restore is done. See if it helps

This is a bad IC/Control board. Your battery is not telling the iPhone it's percentage so it always says 100%. Get a genuine iPhone 4S Battery and see if it helps. Conclusion: Faulty Battery
