Just wanted to add this: I think the comment below is probably correct in terms of being safe and not messing up your phone but another user pointed me towards this possible solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUJ4Fv0f... The iPhone 7 lens housing IS interchangeable with the 8
You can buy individual keys online, yes... just google it. People mark it up because they know about folks like you that need single units. They're easy to put back on. When I messed up a few of mine, Apple just replaced the whole top case, saying they don't do single key replacements.
Just want to add, easiest thing for me was to heat up one of those gel bead massage therapy pads, stick the phone on top and use a card to pry while its still on the pad…. the constant heat melted it off quite easily!
Is it impossible to install a new screen and make it flush with the sides? Using an iFixit replacement unit. No matter how well I align and how much I press, it’s raised… which is really annoying
I replaced this with a 3rd party battery and the OS says “replace now” despite Coconut Battery showing a more-than-great capacity. Is this just an issue of the OS not recognizing a 3rd party part and seeing it as broken? Because Coconut Battery does say the battery status is “poor” despite it being brand new
Anyone ever attempted a battery replacement on this? I know iFixit says there’s super strong adhesive but if it’s similar to the strong adhesive on the iPhone battery, then it just seems like the same process but 5 times.
Do you have any photos/videos showing how this can be done?

Any idea on how to remove/replace the drive unit? I bought a new one but the plastic backing is extremely hard to get off.
I cracked the camera glass (housing) on the back of the phone. Is it possible to replace without replacing the entire back of the phone/case?

Anyone know where I can get that hard drive bracket? Lost mine
Following up on this repair: I bought a new trackpad unit and everything works perfectly again.
