Update. Heat is not required but might make removing the screen a little easier. I did remove the old screen form my friends tablet with no heat and a little 99% IPA removed the little bit of adhesive that was left behind. The new screen went on perfectly and the tablet works PERFECTLY. Another Successful repair thanks to Ifixit and there repair guides and tear-down guides. I knew what i was in for when i started.

My grandma owns the 4G model and someone broke the volume down button. because of this the volume goes down on its own or the device goes into recovery mode. It actually reset it self by doing this but there is no use in me setting it back up just for it to be reset again. Any help you be great.

has anyone ever had the buttons break on this phone? i know on my old droid maxx one little mistake when putting the board in the metal frame was enough to break the volume buttons.

just repaired my friends iphone 5s screen but he said the phone was dead and i am not sure if the phone works because i am getting nothing on the screen and my computer does not see the phone at all. can someone please give me some advice. no i do not get the charging sign. hope the phone is not broken or the screen. i have also reseated the display connectors and to no difference. some advice would be very helpful.
