Had the same problem. cleaned the unit and even bought a new battery. Still did not charge. Here's all the problem was... the stick had a clog in it near the brush head. Once i cleaned the head... problem solved. Check to see if the unit will hold a charge without attachments on it. If it does... the problem is the attachment is clogged. Don't ask me why it would not charge with a clogged attachment, but so is the case.
I would check the brush bar. You cannot see the clog until you remove the plate at the bottom. See “Clogged Brush Bar”. After several trials and even battery replacement, I simply had a clogged brush bar.
i had the same trouble. remove the attachments and look for a blockage down by the head. You will have to remove the bottom piece of the roller attachment to remove debris. There is a little plastic screw. The vacuum will not charge fully if there is a blockage in the attachment. This should solve the problem. Trust me. I already got a new battery and that was not the issue.
