Hey loganaiden05 it can be repaired if you know how to soldier. If not look at some youtube videos to get an ideal and a small soldier kit dont cost much. The battery terminal is easy to soldier and it doesn't have to be perfect just need the wire to hold. If you have an old item to recycle the part from you can use that. Or order a new part off the enternet. Google “ battery spring parts” to find the one you need. You will have to take the toy apart to make sure you get the correct part. Just take your time and if you need to take pics to help you remember what goes where. Have fun and your son will think your a superhero.
Mehr erfahrenHey @eligreylin i would check the fuse box when you have two or more thing out it is most likely a fuse that connects the two.
Mehr erfahrenHey @bren_g it sounds like there was a circuit that shorted and now over supplying power to other boards. I would replace the power board and test power again on all boards.
Mehr erfahrenHey Patrick S it looks like you almost got it handle. If you already switch out the T-con board then I would also switch out the video board. The video board sends the T-con board the image information to display. I would do that.
Mehr erfahrenHey @bowen770 i would replace the boards the power board and the video board if you see damaged caps on LED strips switch them too. I fixed a TV that got lighting damaged and it felt like every board needed to be replaced.
Mehr erfahrenWell William C you have one great thing going for you and that is will Factor of wanting to learn. On the ifixit website there are some videos basic starter about soldering and youtube has some great beginner information. Watch a lot of videos first and i would get some old electronic people through out to use as a test. Start with taking parts off and putting them back on. Now with the TV get a multimeter tool put it on DC 20V. Remember all electronic opporater on DC voltage not AC. And test for power on all the boards. this image will help you find the power wires and rating they are. Use multimeter red on red black on black. Happy hunting.
Mehr erfahrenHey @jteixeira I would test power at all the boards to see if something is not getting power. If you look at the wires plugged into the boards next to them will be a diagram letting you know what wire has what power?
Mehr erfahrenHey @jefffknt. You may need to go through the fuse box and see if there is a fuse blown to module that controllers your pedal sensor. I would just take my time with a multimeter reader on the continuity (is when you touch the red and black together and the multimeter makes a buzzing sound) to check EVERY fuses one at a time. Ford is good for having multiple thing on one fuse.
Mehr erfahrenHey David Coop well to let you know the replacement screen would cost almost as much as the total cost of the TV. But if the screen is crack and you can live with it that maybe the best route. And if the screen is cracked and the image is messed up the the best and cost efficient way to replace the screen is to find a model just like yours with a different issue for a replacement. With it being 3 months old its a newer one on the market and finding parts will be tuff or have a hefty cost. I would do a value cost ratio to see if it worth the time and money.
Mehr erfahren(1) Hey Essie Roberts check and see if the red light flashes a certain amount of times then a pause and back flashing that is a number i would Google check your make and model trouble code with red light number. The other thing tells me you power board went out? Before this when you turn it on would it take a few minutes to come on. And if so it is the power board and i would just replace it.
