Chromium is the open-source fork of the Chrome OS. If your laptop has Chromium installed versus Chrome OS then it is either one that was built from source or CloudReady from Neverware (acquired by Google recently).

Mehr erfahrenHi Mike and thank you for the suggestion. I've actually contacted HP support and asked them to escalate the ticket to a higher tier. I'm capable of performing the upgrade and I'm confident HP utilizes plenty of part commonality between models. HP also posts plenty of part replacement videos on YouTube. My next approach would be to research HP Chromebooks with a better webcam and watch their support videos to identify a possible upgrade visually. The has two holes for mount support and a ZIF connector.

If a document is important to you, PLEASE put into cloud storage. (2) To not loose access to your files, frequently review your information and update your personal info and password recovery methods. Godspeed to all.
