How I Got Here?
I’m a graduate of San José State University and I’m new to the iFixit team. I have been fixing/building things around me for a while, mostly to make my life easier and occasionally to save some money, but always with the idea that whatever I’m working on could last a little bit longer. Whether that was sewing a sweater, building a desk out of scrap wood, repairing my 5+ year old headphones, or just tinkering with my bike. I always do everything I can before I buy anything new. Earlier this year I noticed that some of the makers/fixers I follow online were using tools and parts from iFixit. After making my first purchase (the refurbished Pro Tech Toolkit), I quickly realized that iFixit was about more than just fixing and I wanted to be a part of it.
A Little Bit About me…
I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida but moved to California after getting out of the army. I’ve lived in San José with my little dog Blu for the last 8 years and consider it home. I enjoy reading, writing, and taking walks (Blu would rather go for car rides). I’m in the process of creating my own bookshelves since there’s only so many piles of books I can continue to stack around my apartment without it looking like the stockroom of a bookstore. Unlike tsundoku though, the piles are comprised of books I’ve already read. I also enjoy binge watching series, especially Swedish crime shows and TV/film from the 90s and the aughts. My most used pieces of tech are my Game Boy (mostly for tetris), reMarkable Tablet, and Calibre.
Here’s Blu enjoying a car ride.

Antwort auf „Blue tooth function broken! otherwise works great”Hi Renee, I need a little more information before I can answer. But, have you tried resetting the connection between your speaker and the device you’re trying to use? Just like any other Bluetooth device, sometimes the connections needs to be reset. If you haven’t already, try these steps. (1) Make sure that the software on the device you’re trying to pair with your speaker is completely up to date. Once your device(s) are updated, begin the steps to reset the Bluetooth connection. (2) Open the Bluetooth menu in the device that you are broadcasting the music from. (3) Delete (Forget) the Marshall Speaker from the list of Bluetooth devices stored in your device. (4) Power off both your device and the Marshall Speaker and then turn them back on. (5) Pair the Marshall speaker and your device. Let me know if this works. If not, then we can start troubleshooting a hardware issue.
Antwort auf „Hinges are way too loose.”Hi Josh, Are the aviators name brand or generic? This can make a huge difference when answering this question. Typically, name brand glasses come with screws that are already tightened, but can also be adjusted (provided you have the correct screwdriver) as wear and tear occurs. Some off-brand glasses come with fixed screws that can’t be adjusted or will strip if tightened or loosened. Let me know which kind you have and I might have a better solution for you.
