Hi, I have exactly the same - the silicon insulation appears to have been changed for plastic (hard at that) and there is no sign of the fuse shown in the picture above - the only wires visible are tucked to the side and go into the centre of the motor - no fuse visible. Again nothing further but destructively going into the motor and coil itself. It's as if vornado read this and then changed the design to make it more difficult for people to simply fix !! Any chance of an update ? What's odd is that the comment above is from 2018 - my fans were purchased in 2014 so well before this comment.
