My name is Juan Velasco. I am a sophomore with a major in computer engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I have a big interest in learning all about technology and hardware. I am excited to dive in to the engineering world as time goes on.

As my education continues, I am hoping to land internships in various technological companies such as Dell, Google, or really anything that will help build my experience for the future job I’ll hold. My goal is to eventually work for a big company such as Apple or even Google.

Growing up, I have always been tech savvy. Not only tech savvy but I was intrigued with the products that big companies like Apple were rolling out. I was the kid that always had the newest devices and tech. I grew interested in the software of devices and how the UI interface works.

I am a first generation college student amongst my four brothers. I carry a dream with myself to become a successful man. I think that working in this field will enable me to make my dream a reality. I still have a while to go in undergrad but it will be worth the prize in the end.
