Just ordered my second battery for the iPhone 5.
Changing out the battery the first time was a little scary, it’s well glued in, but I suspect this time will be easier.

You should be fine with pairs of equal capacity. 2 X 4 GB and 2 X 8 GB
Usually best to install in pairs of similar sizes

Thanks for the replies, I guess I was confused by the term "configurable" on both the 21.5 and 27 iMac which usually means that the RAM is soldered. Thanks for the link to HT205040 which I had not seen before.
Would like to see a tear down of the 27" 5K iMac and to confirm that it too does not have soldered RAM
the replacement battery is MUCH thicker than the original or a previous replacement battery.
The innards will not slide into place with the battery installed. Slides in and out easily with the previous, thinner, battery.
Did I get the incorrect battery??
