Azpen A701 Troubleshooting
Here are some problems consumers encountered with the Azpen A701 and solutions to them.
- Device Not Turning On
- Device Not Charging
- No Sound
- No Screen Display
- The device is slow or freezing
- Refer to Manufacturer
Device Not Turning On ¶
The device will not turn on no matter what is done to it.
Device is not charged ¶
The A701 won't turn on below critical battery level (About 15%). Try charging the device and then turning it on. If this does not work check to make sure the charge cable is connected to the device properly. The cable must be facing the correct direction and inserted completely into the device for it to charge.
If this does not work you might have to replace this battery.
Battery is not inserted correctly ¶
Take the battery out of the device and make sure it has no dust. Put the batter back in the device and try turning on.
Device must be reset ¶
If the device won't turn on and it is already charged, it may need to be reset. Press the reset button on top of the device and check if it is restarting normally or not. If this does not fix the device, refer to the battery replacement section.
Battery is dead ¶
If charging or resetting the device does not work, the battery may be dead. It may need to be replaced with a new battery. The battery is a Lithium Ion with a capacity of 3,000 mAh.
Device Not Charging ¶
The device will not charge when the device is plugged in.
Charger Connected Incorrectly ¶
Ensure that the charger is facing the correct direction and inserted completely. Also, try alternative outlets.
Battery is dead ¶
The device won't charge if the battery is not functioning properly. It may need to be replaced.
Charger port is broken or misplaced ¶
The charger port may be skewed in some way that makes charging not possible. The charger port may have to be moved back into place or replaced entirely.
Charger Not Working Properly ¶
Check to make sure the charger cable is not damaged. If the cable is damaged it should be replaced. Damage could look like exposed wires or partially/completely severed cable.
No Sound ¶
The device will not output any sound.
Volume is turned off ¶
Check to make sure the volume is not set at 0. If so, try turning up the volume.
An audio file is broken ¶
If there is no sound, the audio file may be broken. Try another audio file to see if it plays sound. If the audio file is broken the file may cause severe noise or static.
The audio jack is broken ¶
The audio jack may be broken. Consider replacing the audio jack.
No Screen Display ¶
There is no picture on the screen when the device is turned on.
The screen is cracked ¶
The screen may be cracked. This could cause issues with the display. If this is the case the screen will need to be replaced.
The screen is not responsive to touch ¶
The screen does not respond to stimulus. This could be a software issue or internal damage of the device. Consider replacing the screen.
The device is slow or freezing ¶
Device is freezing up or acting slow etc.
Device may need to be reset ¶
The device may need a hard reset. Warning: This will delete all settings and other files on the tablet.
