You have trouble listening to sounds on your Bluetooth speaker.
The speaker may play with a distorted sound at excessive volumes. Try turning down the volume to see if audio distortion is resolved.
Rattling of the speaker may cause the audio to sound distorted. To avoid rattling, or moving of the speaker, place the speaker on a solid, level, and hard surface.
The speakers on the device may become defective over time, causing audio to become distorted, and the speakers to need replacing. Follow the Speakers Replacement guide for a step-by-step guide to replace the speakers.
Your speaker is turned on, but there is no sound playing from the speaker.
The speaker needs to have the volume turned up to the appropriate level in order for sound to be heard. Press the "+" button on the top of the speaker to raise the volume.
If the volume on your external device is too low, then no sound will be heard. Makes sure the volume on your external device is turned up.
Sound may be distorted, or not play, if the auxiliary cord is not plugged in correctly. Ensure that the auxiliary cord is properly connected into both the speaker and your external device.
Your external device may not be paired with the Bluetooth speaker. See the "Bluetooth Won't Pair" section below for more troubleshooting.
Your speaker Bluetooth will not pair with an external Bluetooth device.
Before pairing a device to the speaker, you must put the speaker on discovery mode. Press and hold down the play button of the speaker you will hear a sonar-like repeating sound. In your Bluetooth setting under the external device, you will find "BRAVEN BRV-HD" listed. Select the speaker to finish pairing. If a passcode is required, enter 0000.
Make sure that the Bluetooth on your external device is turned on. Access this by going to your device settings menu and switch the Bluetooth option on. Look for "Braven BRV-HD" on the list, then select to pair the devices.
Make sure that the Bluetooth speaker is not paired with another external device. If it is, turn off the Bluetooth connection on the external device that is paired, and then pair the desired device to the Bluetooth speaker.
Not all devices are Bluetooth compatible. Check information on your external device to ensure that it is compatible.
Your speaker will not turn on or is not showing signs of turning on.
Make sure that your speaker is powered on properly. To turn on the Braven BRV-HD speaker, you need to press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
Check to make sure that your speaker is charged. Check the battery indicator lights on the side of the device. If they are not lit, then your device has no battery and will need to be charged via the charging cable and power adapter.
If the Bluetooth speaker is charged and is still not able to turn on, the power button on the speaker may be faulty and will need to be replaced. Follow the Power Button Replacement guide for a step-by-step guide for replacing the power button.
The battery indicator lights on the Bluetooth speaker will not turn on when the speaker is plugged in.
Charging your speaker for the time may take an extended period of time. Allow the speaker to charge for 4-6 hours and then check to see if the battery indicator lights on the side of the speaker are glowing, which indicate a charge. A full charge will be indicated by 5 solid lights.
The Braven BRV-HD speaker comes with a USB to micro USB charging cable. If the speaker is not charging, the charging cable may be faulty or not compatible. Try using a different USB to micro USB cable to see if the speaker will charge.
If you are charging your speaker via the wall adapter, the outlet you are using may not be functioning properly. Try plugging the charger into a different wall outlet. If the issue persists, see other common problems about charging the device.
The Braven BRV-HD speaker comes with a power adapter which attaches to a micro USB charging cable and then is plugged into a wall outlet. If the USB charging cable and the wall outlet are not faulty, the power adapter may be faulty and will need to be replaced.
If your power adapter and charging cable are not faulty, the charging port on the Bluetooth speaker may be faulty and will need to be replaced. Follow the Charging Port Replacement guide for a step-by-step guide to replace the charging port.
If your power adapter, charging cable, and charging port are not faulty, the battery may be defective and may need to be replaced. Follow the Battery Replacement guide for a step-by-step guide to replace the battery.
When you plug in your external device via the auxiliary jack, the speaker will not play sounds from the external device.
If the auxiliary cord being used to plug in the external device is faulty, the speaker will not play sound from the external device. Try using a different auxiliary cord to see if speaker will play.
If your speaker is not playing from the external device, the audio jack on the speaker may be faulty, and may need to be replaced.
The external device you are using may be defective, or may have a defective audio jack. In this case, the external device will not be able to play through the speaker. Refer to other guides on the external device for troubleshooting.
