Keyboard Not Working

"You have issues using your keyboard"

Dirty keyboard

If you can feel a crunching or sticky feeling under your keys, there may be debris underneath that needs to be removed. This debris can block the connections underneath the keys that go to the motherboard and not allow typing.

Keys broken from device

Perform a fast check of the keys on your keyboard to ensure that there aren't any broken or missing keys. Broken keys may not activate the sensor on the circuit board to let the computer know you are trying to type a certain letter. If this is the case, follow our repair guide here to replace your keys.

Faulty Keyboard

If all else fails, its time to open the laptop up and see if there's any faulty connections on the board.

Computer running slow

"Your computer is running slower than usual"

Virus Scan

Through your travels on your computer you may run into viruses or other issues that may slow your computer down. Perform a check on your virus status to see if this is causing the issue.

RAM malfunctioning

Random Access memory (RAM) is a vital part of your computer and how smooth it runs. If this is faulty, the computer can be super slow or not even work. Consult your ram cards and see if there is any disconnection as well as any shorts.

WiFi not connecting

Router not working

If your WiFi is not working, check to see if your router in your house is working correctly, if not, do a quick reset to see if this was the issue.

Computer chip not receiving WiFi signal

Your device is packed with a WiFi chip capable of receiving signal for the internet, and if this is faulty you may not be able to connect to the internet. Check all connections and the chip itself to see if there is a problem with the hardware.

Computer not turning on

Computer not charged

If you notice that you do not have power to your computer, you may have a lack of charge to the battery. Charge the battery and confirm if this is the case.

Battery not functioning correctly

If there is a charger plugged into the computer, the battery may be faulty. Batteries for laptop computers die over time and they usually need to be replaced due to battery lifespan and complete failure. Replacing the battery is a simple fix and could save you from a new purchase.

Disc drive not reading

"Your disc drive is not reading"

Faulty Disc Drive

Your disc drive may be faulty if it is not reading a disc. The easiest way to combat this issue is to replace the device and have a new one inserted. You can always investigate the issue internally, but the disc drive is so fragile that it may be not worth your time to investigate further.
