When the device is plugged in and powered on there is an audible high-pitched noise that can be heard.

If the device is making a high-pitched noise, first check to see if the mixer is in operation. If the mixer is not moving, then the sound is due to a broken electrical component, which can be found with some searching and the aid of a multimeter. If the mixer is running, then the sound is most likely due to the motor. A bearing may require attention or a component inside of the mixer’s casing could be rubbing the motor. The best way to fix this problem is to buy a replacement motor and then install the new motor in your device. Here is a link to our motor replacement guide

When the device in plugged in and powered on there is an audible grinding noise that can be heard.

The batter you are mixing may be too thick for the mixer to handle. Bread dough should only be kneaded using the dough hooks, as they are designed to work with high torque. If you believe that you are using the mixer with a reasonable load it is possible that the motor is overheating, so high speeds and thick batters should not be mixed.

A grinding noise is indicative of an overloaded motor. A burnt out motor can be replaced with the aid of this guide. Here is a link to our motor replacement guide
