No Input Found
The projector displays the message “No Input Found” even if an input device is plugged in.
Improper Device Connections
You may have a problem with the connection points. Your first step is to ensure a strong connection between your adapters. Make sure the adapter cords are attached to both the projector and to the source. If you still have an issue, ensure that you have selected the correct source selected. This can easily be done by pressing the input button on either your remote or on the projector directly.
Device Fails to Turn On
The device fails to boot up when the power button is pressed, or shuts down shortly after turning on.
Faulty Power Cord
Ensure that the power cord is plugged in securely to the projector and a functional outlet. If the projector still doesn’t turn on, you should check to see if it has any visible defects such as exposed wiring. If no such defects are visible, the cord may have a defect inside and will require replacement.
The projector does not project any sound.
Ensure that the speaker cord is properly inserted to the motherboard. If not, press in the cord on to the motherboard. If there is no sound coming from the device, check for any damage on the speaker. If the speaker is damaged, use this guide to replace it.
High Device Temperature
The projector has a higher than usual temperature, which may cause it to shut down during use or shortly after startup.
If the device is placed improperly, some of the air vents may be blocked, preventing air circulation. Ensure that you place the projector in an area where it is not surrounded closely by other objects.
Faulty Cooling Fan
Ensure that there is nothing preventing the fan from spinning and remove any dust that has accumulated near and on the fan and its opening. If the fan is covered in dust, clean it off by spraying compressed air on it. You may want to consider having a vacuum nearby to get rid of all the dust that is sprayed into the air as well. If the fan doesn’t turn after this, consider replacing it using this guide.
If the filter is covered in dust or material, the device may overheat. Ensure that the filter is free of any dust or material by removing the top of the projector. If there is any dust, clean it off with a dry cloth. If the filter is damaged in any way, replace it using this guide.
No Image Display
When the projector is turned on, there is no image displayed even after the startup period.
Lamp is Disconnected
There may be a loose connection between the lamp and the rest of the projector’s systems. Open up the projector and ensure that all the connection from the lamp is connected properly onto the motherboard by pushing the connection ports in gently. More thorough instructions can be found in this guide.
The lamp may be worn out due to long-term usage or it may be defective. Open up the cover for the lamp and unscrew it from the device, then lift up by using the handle. Make sure there are no cracks or that the bulb isn’t burnt. If it is, it requires replacement, which is thoroughly explained in this lamp replacement guide.
Image is Displayed Incorrectly
The projector turns on and displays an image, but the image is not displaying correctly.
Faulty Color Wheel
If the image is distorted or fuzzy, the color wheel may be defective. You may want to inspect it while the projector is off to check for possible damage. If you don’t see any, try removing any dust or debris that is on the color wheel. If the color wheel is damaged, it also may cause a blurry or distorted image. If the color wheel is damaged, you should follow these lens replacement guide.
