Playback images without sound
Footage taken with sounds are being played without sound.
Faulty headphone/speakers
Use different pairs of earphones to see if your earphones are the problem and or if the speakers on the camera itself are the problem. Test using a working pair of earphones to see if the problem is the speakers. If some earphones work and others don’t, then it means that the issue is with the earphones and not the camera.
Faulty headphone jack
If the working pair of earphones aren’t working and the speakers for the camera work then it means that the issue is within the headphone jack and needs to be replaced.
Navigation button on camera display not functioning
Buttons used for navigation positioned on flip out camera display unresponsive.
Internal Ribbon disconnected
The internal ribbon that connects the main body of the camera to the flip out LCD display has become disconnected. Camera display needs to be opened up and ribbon connection needs to be reestablished.
Internal workings of buttons jammed
The internal workings of the buttons on the inside of the LCD display screen are clogged with dust and dirt which are normal and come with high usage of the device. You can simply take a duster, or even a toothbrush to help you dust off any dirt that you may see clogged in the buttons to see if that makes a difference and makes the buttons any smoother to use. If that doesn’t fix the issue, and you are still having problems getting the buttons to work, you would have to replace the navigation buttons.
Abnormal Color on Display Screen
The screen of the video camera may have colour patches or abnormal colour displaying red pigmentation.
Unsuitable system colour setting

Monitor damage

Battery not charging

Battery aging or external force damage
When you plug in the camera charger to your camera, you find that you cannot power on and cannot charge your camera, you may consider the battery drain problem. This condition is usually caused by battery aging or external force damage on the battery itself which would cause a disconnect between the battery and charger.
Dead Battery
After monitoring your camera and finding out that the battery is completely drained and needs to be replaced, you could check out our battery replacement guide for more help. Check out the replacement guide here: Panasonic SDR-H85 Battery Replacement
Unexpected Powering Off

To do so, removal of the top and side casings can be done by unscrewing at certain points in the casing detailed by imminent holes. A more detailed, step by step process can be found in our replacement guide for hard drive replacement. Check out the replacement guide here:Panasonic SDR-H85 Hard Drive Replacement
Physical Hard Drive Failure
