The battery drains faster than normal
Since you first got the phone, the battery life seems to be growing shorter and shorter.
Improper treatment of the battery
To get the most life out of any battery, allow it to fully drain before recharging it. The next time you charge your phone, allow the battery to drain and then charge it fully.
Do not leave your phone plugged in overnight, or attempt to charge it past 100%. Doing so will put a drain on your battery, shortening it's lifespan.
Old battery
After long-term use of your battery, its charge-holding capabilities will weaken. At a certain point, when it becomes unusable, you will have to replace your battery with a new one.
For a guide on how to install the battery, see this Repair Guide.
The phone performs slowly
Loading files or starting applications feels like it is taking longer than it should be.
Full memory
Go through old text messages or other files that may be in the phone and delete them. This will free up memory for the phone to use.
Restart the phone
Hold the power button until the screen turns off and the phone restarts. Doing this will help the phone operate faster.
Sounds continue to play when programs are minimized
While playing sound files, they continue to play even after a program is minimized.
Disable continuous playback in settings
When opening a sound file, go to Menu > Options > Playback and check the box labeled “Pause playback while using another program”.
Unable to send or receive emails
The phone will not send or receive email messages.
Check the network status
In the top right corner of the home screen, make sure the "Full wireless 3G data coverage" symbol is displayed. This means that the phone is indeed connected to a data network.
Restart the phone
If the 3G data symbol is not being displayed, consider restarting your phone. Hold the power button until the screen turns off and the phone restarts. Another method for restarting the phone is removing the battery.
For a guide on how to install the battery, see this Repair Guide.
