The Phone Fails to Charge
You have trouble getting your phone to charge while it is plugged in
The Outlet or Charging Cable is Faulty
Ensure the outlet works properly by plugging another device known to work into the socket. If the outlet works, use the charging cable on another Android device if possible to see if it charges.
The Firmware Crashed
The firmware may have determined that the battery was at full capacity, not allowing the battery to charge. To reset the firmware, open the back panel of the phone and remove the battery. Once removed, press and hold the power button for one minute to drain the extra battery power. Then, install the battery back in, place the back cover on, try turning it on, and try charging it again. This resets the firmware and allows for the battery to be charged again.
The Charging Port is Dirty
Ensure that the charging cable is fitting properly within the charging port. The charging port accumulates dust and debris; clean the port out using pressurized air or dry cotton swabs. The pins within the charging port may be misaligned with the charging cable, move them around with a toothpick to make them straight again.
The Battery is Faulty
If these other solutions do not work, the battery may be faulty. Consider replacing the battery and if the problem still persists, seek help from a technician or take it back to the store for assistance.

The Phone is Running Out of Storage Space
One of the most common symptoms of a phone running out of storage is a frozen or unresponsive screen. This is because every service that your phone runs will create temporary files to help it run smoothly. When there is not enough storage space for these services to load their necessary files. This will force close apps that are already running resulting in performance issues.
The Third Party Apps are Faulty
A third party application downloaded from the PlayStore or manually installed is causing the problem. Reboot your phone into safe mode, this will not fix the problem but it will confirm if the problem is coming from a third party app. In safe mode all third party apps will be temporarily disabled and the device should work normally. If you find the app that is causing the problem, reset it by clearing the data and cache. If this does not work you should uninstall the app.
The Firmware Has Problems
All other procedures have failed to fix the phone, so it must be a firmware problem. Before you reset your phone to its original settings make sure you backup any important files, they will be deleted and unable to be restored otherwise. Also be sure to disable the Factory Reset Protection in order to avoid getting locked out of your phone.

The only solution to this is to repair your phone or have it repaired by a professional

Leave the phone upright in the bowl of rice for a couple days before you attempt turning it on again. After that, put the battery, SIM card, and SD card back in the phone and attempt to turn it on. If the phone still does not turn on try to charge it. However, make sure that the phone is not heating up. If the phone still does not turn on then you will have to get the damaged components replaced.
