Poor audio quality
The audio on the playback is fuzzy or distorted.
The microphone is worn out due to heavy use.
Check to make sure the microphone is not being obstructed during recording. If this is not the problem, then check for physical damage to the camera. If so, consider replacing the internal microphone using this guide.
Check the audio levels.
It is possible to adjust the audio levels of the microphone to best fit your surroundings. To change the audio levels, follow this guide.
Video quality is not clear.
The lens is dirty.
If you find the lens requires cleaning, consider purchasing a kit to remove any dirt or dust. Follow this guide for access to the lens.
The lens is scratched.
If the lens is scratched, you may be able to purchase a kit for minor marks that can be removed. If not, the lens may need to be removed and replaced. Follow this guide to replace the lens.
Camera won't turn on
Camera will not respond to user input.
The battery is drained or damaged. If the camera will not respond when you press the power button, the battery pack may need to be charged or changed. To do so, follow this guide to open the slot where you will find the battery.
Loose or damaged cable.
The charging cable is damaged or will not connect. If you suspect the charging cable is the issue, make sure you are connecting the plug to the correct socket by reviewing this guide. If the problem persists, consider a replacement charging cable.
Hand strap is damaged
Hand strap is frayed, damaged, or torn.
If you are noticing damage or normal wear-and-tear on your hand strap, it may be time to replace it. Also, if the hand strap has been broken in some way, it definitely would help to change it out for a new one. Follow this guide showing you how to do so.
Buttons are stuck or jammed
Buttons will not respond when pressed.
Buttons are dirty.
If you are trying to press the buttons on the circular panel and are receiving no response, the buttons may be jammed or dirty underneath. To resolve this problem, follow the guide to cleaning the buttons.
