  • New for this release: detailed care instructions, including warnings against touching the touchscreen too hard, and exposing the phone to dust.

  • Looks like Samsung really wants us to take care of this thing ... it doesn't say anything about taking it apart though? So I guess we'll continue?

  • "When folding the device, do not place any objects, such as cards, coins, or keys, on the screen." We would never do that.

  • If you haven't seen one of these in person, here's how it stacks up:

  • In "folded" configuration, it's narrower, taller, and much thicker than a Galaxy S10+.

  • In "unfolded" form, however, it's ... big. Not quite iPad mini 5 big, but its bezels are tiny—so in terms of usable screen real estate, the two devices are actually pretty comparable.

  • It also folds more easily than an iPad Pro, and without the shower of glass shards.

Scheint, als wolle Samsung uns hier wieder mal Anweisungen geben ... aber da steht ja nicht, dass man es nicht auseinandernehmen darf, oder? Also machen wir mal weiter.

Da steht, dass man auf keinen Fall Gegenstände wie Karten, Münzen oder Schlüssel aufs Gerät legen soll, wenn es zugeklappt ist. Würden wir doch nie machen, sowas.

Für den Fall, dass du selber noch nicht die Möglichkeit hattest, ein Galaxy Fold in die Hand zu nehmen, hier mal ein Eindruck, wie es sich anfühlt:

In "gefaltetem" Zustand ist es schmaler , höher und wesentlich dicker als ein Galaxy S10+.

"Aufgeklappt" ist es allerdings ... groß. Zwar nicht ganz so groß wie ein iPad mini 5, aber die Ränder sind sehr schmal, so dass die beiden Geräte durchaus vergleichbar sind, was die nutzbare Bildschirmgröße angeht.

Es lässt sich auch leichter zusammenfalten als ein iPad Pro, und das ganz ohne Glassplitter.
