Remove the old liquid metal from the APU

  • Don't remove the foam barrier that surrounds the APU.

  • Just as you did for the heatsink, clean and remove all of the old liquid metal and its residue from the APU.

  • Don't let any of the liquid metal drip onto the board. Liquid metal is conductive and could cause a short. The foam barrier keeps the liquid metal from leaking out.

  • This is a good point to replace any thermal pads on the bottom of the main board, if necessary. The pads might be stuck to both the bottom shield plate and the main board.

  • Make sure your replacement pads are the same thickness as the originals, or the foam around the APU may not seal properly.

Altes Flüssigmetall von der APU beseitigen

Entferne nicht die Schaumstoffränder von der APU.

Beseitige auf gleiche Weise wie beim Kühlkörper alle alten Reste vom Flüssigmetall von der APU.

Achte darauf, dass kein Flüssigmetall auf die Hauptplatine tropft. Es leitet und kann einen Kurzschluss verursachen. Die Schaumstoffumrandung verhindert, dass das Flüssigmetall herausläuft.

Jetzt ist eine gute Gelegenheit, um irgendwelche Wärmeleitpads auf der Unterseite der Hauptplatine auszutauschen, wenn nötig. Die Pads können sowohl an der Hauptplatine als auch an der unteren Abschirmplatte festkleben.

Achte darauf, dass die Ersatzpads genauso dick wie die alten sind, sonst schließt die Schaumstoffumrandung um die APU nicht mehr richtig ab.
