Einleitung

If you are having issues with the Moto Z2 Force's motherboard, use this guide to replace it.

Place the phone on a flat surface with the screen facing up.
  • Place the phone on a flat surface with the screen facing up.

  • Insert the flat end of a nylon spudger into the crease separating the screen and the body in the lower right corner of the phone.

  • Pry open part of the screen by pulling the tool and the screen toward you.

  • You may be required to use a heating element, such as the iOpener, to heat and loosen the adhesive underneath before attempting to pry it open.

  • Insert the nylon spudger into the lower left corner of the screen and pry the screen toward you.

  • Continue to insert the plastic opening and spudger tools around the phone, and pry open the screen until it is fully separated from the device.

  • Remove the screen gently and slowly as the screen may crack otherwise.

  • Remove the screen by pulling from right to left and placing the screen face down on the flat surface next to the main body of the device.

  • Using the flat end of the nylon spudger, pull off the black tape on top of the screen connector piece that the black ribbon is attached to.

  • Insert the black spudger under the lock of the latch connecting the black ribbon of the screen to the phone body.

  • Pull up on the lock to unlock the latch.

  • Separate the black ribbon from the latch by pulling gently to the left.

  • Unscrew the two 3mm T4 screws from the speaker.

  • Use the nylon spudger to lift and remove the speaker from the phone chassis.

  • Insert the flat end of the nylon spudger on the side of the camera closest to the battery.

  • Pry up the camera by pushing down on the spudger until the camera pops up.

  • Insert the flat end of the nylon spudger underneath the black lock.

  • Unlock the ribbon cable by pulling up on the lock with the nylon spudger.

  • Separate the camera from the board by pulling gently towards the bottom of the phone.

  • Wedge the plastic opening tool underneath the motherboard near the battery and use the flat end of the spudger to create a gap.

  • Gradually make this gap bigger so that the area is still loose when you remove the spudger.

  • You may want to use a thinner prying tool instead of the plastic opening tool to make this step easier.

  • Loosen the motherboard in the area between the camera and battery by gently wedging the flat end of the spudger to create a gap such that the area is loose when the spudger is removed.

  • Insert the flat end of the nylon spudger underneath the edge of the phone near the camera.

  • Gently pry the motherboard from the phone until it is raised enough to put a finger between it and the phone.

  • With your fingers, gently pry the rest of the motherboard up from the phone.

  • When using your fingers to remove the motherboard completely, be extremely careful, as you can easily break the motherboard.

My lcd came apart the entire assembly didn't come up as the instructions showed it would and it tore the ribbon connector.
