my roku 3 was working fine. then the controller quit working. I put new batt. in it, did not make a difference. Then I pulled the power cord from the unit. Thinking it would reset it self, it worked for several clicks then quit. What should I do?

If the controller is working randomly the problem is most likely the carbon contacts on the back of the rubber pad inside are covered with food oils and debris. When the buttons are pressed the dirty contacts remain open. Carefully disassemble the hand piece watching where everything fits. One screw behind the batteries and snaps around the perimeter hold it together. Clean everything with alcohol and hand soap, except the circuit board, then dry thoroughly before reassembly.
