Cannot turn off timer
Cannot turn off timer and control wheel/circle seems to be corrupted. Can it be disassembled?

Well of course it can be disassembled. What's your prefered method? Hammer? lol. No seriously maybe check your Owner's Manual or the Nikon support site to see if there is any kind of reset (commonly known as a "factory reset" process for your unit. The problem might be abled to be resolved without resorting to a hammer lol :-)
