4 Sony Bravia KD-55xe7093 Backlight Working, Sound Working, No Picture
I bought a Sony Bravia 55xe7093 TV broken, I was informed one day when turning it on it didn’t work. No screen but Backlight working.
I have researched solutions and tried :
- Replacing the T-con Board
- Replacing the Power Board
- Replacing the Main Board
I haven’t replaced the cable between the mainboard and the T-con Board
The first time turning on the TV I saw a menu item that faded (cannot recreate it)
When reconnecting the cable between the Tcon-Board and the Main Board, there is a green flash. (see image)
When disconnecting/on reconnecting the cable between the T-Con board and the screen, I managed once to get a distorted version but recognizable image.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Things I can try or test?
When testing the OHM’s return 0 for the ones indicated in red, the photo shows the left panel, the same is true for the right panel. I’m touching the multimeter directly onto the pins. The other pins show between 0.3-6 micro ohms

@sammorgan double check your model number. Could it be a KD-55XE7093? Check the cable going from the T-con board to the panel. See if you have the proper signals/voltages going from the T-CON board to the LCD driver board. Let us know what panel this model has (make and model) and see if you can find a number on the LCD driver board. That is the board between the T-CON board and the LCD panel. Careful when you work on it since it is "permanently attached" via some pretty thin ribbon cables to the LCD panel.

I want to test the signals/voltage from the T-CON board to the LCD driver, can you give me any direction to how I find which point to measure and by what V Is Expected? Are there any websites with the schematics?

@sammorgan what you should do first before you test the voltages etc is OHM test each pin on the cable. this will tell you if one or more is broken or high resistance which may lead to the green halo effect.

@sammorgan okay so of course there are no schematics for the driver boards and the numbers on the stickers do not yield any results. Anything silkscreened right on the circuit boards? Also, with everything connected etc. and your TV turned on, does your backlight come on? You could see that by either the screen changing from a dark black to a slight grayer black or by checking the TV from the back and you should see light shining through the sheetmetal covering the panel. See if you can get a clearer picture of those driver board components.
Looking for something like VOFFE and VONE for voltage checks,
