Background
The Nikon Coolpix S220 is a compact 10.0 megapixel digital camera. Designed with a 2.5 inch LCD resolution screen and a 3x optical zoom lens. The Nikon Coolpix offers a smart portrait system, which includes red-eye reduction and face priority. Also included is image stabilizer, motion detector, and best shot selector.
The Nikon Coolpix S220 series is designed to be a compact camera for those not willing to spend a large amount of money. It is often referred to as the "facebook camera" due to its quality of photos and the general crowd that purchases this Nikon design. The layout is easy to use and its light weight makes it easy to carry with you at all times.
Coolpix S220 comes in a variety of colors. These include plum, warm silver, cobalt blue, black, agua green, and magenta (pictured above).
Identification
To identify the difference between the S220 and the newer model S230, the S230 has a digital touch screen while the S220 is navigated with buttons. To identify this camera from all other compact digital cameras on the market, look for the COOLPIX silver logo on the front of the camera, to the left of the lens.
