The Nintendo Wii mini is a video game console that was released in the U.S. in November of 2013. The console is encased in red plastic with a black top-loading disc drive. The Wii mini is called the "mini" not because of its size, but because of its reduced cost. The biggest differences between the Wii mini and the standard Wii is that the Wii mini lacks internet accessibility and lacks a disc slot; it instead has a disc tray similar to that of the GameCube. The Wii mini also lacks an SD slot, relying entirely on built-in storage for save files and other data.
