Additional Information
Released in November of 2024, this controller is styled to resemble the original GameCube controllers, with a number of revisions to make it fully compatible with newer consoles such as the Switch, while functioning equally well for use on older consoles. These revisions include the addition of a home button, a screenshot button (Located next to the USB C port on the top of the controller) select (-) button, an L button (Which functions as an additional Z button when used with a GameCube or Wii), and clickable analog sticks. It also adds grip buttons (Labeled as PL and PR, with the "P" likely standing for "Pad"), which can be programmed to act as any button, or series of buttons, and even a specific tilting of an analog stick, simply by pressing and holding the screenshot button and either grip button to begin programming. To exit programming mode, simply press the grip button that you are programming. Unlike the notoriously drifty Joy-Cons, this controller does away with potentiometer sticks, and instead uses Hall Effect sensors in both the analog sticks and the analog triggers, virtually eliminating any potential for stick drift. As previously stated, this controller can be used with the GameCube, Wii, Switch, and PC. The controller ships with two dongles to facilitate this; one dongle is used for the GameCube and Wii. The other can be connected to USB A ports for use with the Switch or PC. The controller also has a Bluetooth mode, providing an additional method of connection for Switch and PC.
