Background
The Ridgid R2611 is a variable-speed dual random orbit sander. Released in 2006, the Ridgid R2611 is distinguishable by its 6" orbiting diameter as well as its signature cylinder-like vacuum bag. The Ridgid R2611 features a soft-start motor with electronic variable speed control in order to maintain constant velocity even under extreme loads. This sander also possesses an onboard vacuum adaptor so that the user can attach 1-1/4 or 2-1/2 inch hoses instead of the standard vacuum bag that comes with the sander.
Identification
The model number for this device can be found on the right side of the device in the top-left corner of a black label, as well as on the left side of the device on top of the white bar code sticker. This R2611 can also be identified by the 4-amp motor, rather than the 3-amp motor of its predecessors.
