Wii motion plus needs recalibrating more than should be necessary |
The Wii Motion Plus was a peripheral for the Wii Remote. It added a 3-axis gyroscope, allowing the remote to sense direction while not pointing directly towards the infrared sensor bar. Other peripherals, such as the Nunchuk, can still be connected, as the device has its own port on the end, allowing the Wii Remote to receive signals from such devices. Later Wii Remotes had the Wii Motion Plus integrated into their own hardware, and were referred to as the Wii Remote Plus, accordingly. Such remotes were given the model number RVL-036, and were produced until the release of the Nintendo Switch in 2017, long after the discontinuation of the original Wii Remote.
