Mein Problem
I do lots of iPad repairs for others, but this was the first retina iPad mini that has come to me. It was cracked pretty badly, but I can always fix it.
Meine Reparatur
Repair went smoothly, except for when the device was going back together. I small clip on the LCD that held the backlight connector had been cracked by a piece of glass, and had fallen off. There was no backlight, so I checked the filter and fuse, both good. I then started looking at the display, and found the part had come off. I took one off of an iPad mini 1 digitizer, and everything worked.
Mein Rat
Make sure you remove all the old adhesive. Nothing will stick well unless it is all gone. If you want the repair to last longer than the device, take the extra time and some alcohol swabs and clean the iPad up.
