Wanted to replace my Superdrive in 2010 Mac mini that had been disabled way back when I first upgraded to Snow Leopard. Parts arrived very quickly. Instructions were simple. Added a Samsung 500gb SSD. Good to go.
Meine Reparatur
Had to troubleshoot after the first go around. Computer became extremely hot! I realized I had reattached thermal sensors incorrectly, but after a partial teardown and double-check, all is well.
Mein Rat
Get Trim Enabler app because OS X will not support 3rd party SSDs in this regard. Be sure to buy the logic board removal tool as well. Also, the rubber washers on the antenna grill screws will degrade if you unscrew them to many times...just a warning. Be safe!
