Replaced disc drive with SSD in a MacMini

Start up was slow and the disc drive started to make noise

I used CCC to mirror the drive on the SSD, this took 3 hours. The actual replacement went smooth, and it worked in the first try.
Mein Rat
Go for it, the start up is faster now and the Mac Mini is quiet.
Read the tips and comments on the iFixit web side from other users. This will save you time as some of the steps can be shortcut. The tools that come with the SSD from iFixit are very useful if you do not have the correct tools you might damage the screws. Then the screwing will be tough...:-).
