  • Remove the display.

  • Follow this link for a detailed screen adhesive application guide.

  • Before installing a new display, it's very important to remove all traces of the old adhesive from the frame, while taking special care to remove any small glass fragments.

  • After removing all traces of glue and glass from the frame, clean the adhesion areas with 90% (or higher) isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth or coffee filter. Swipe in one direction only, not back and forth.

  • This helps remove any remaining adhesive residue and preps the surface for the new adhesive.

  • If the frame is bent, or if any glue or glass remnants are left behind, the new display will not mount correctly and may be damaged. If necessary, replace the frame.

  • The best way to secure the new screen is with a sheet of custom-cut double-sided tape. Apply the tape to the back of the screen, then carefully feed the display cable through the frame. Align the screen and press it into place.

Avant d'installer un nouvel écran, il est très important d'enlever toute trace de l'ancien adhésif du cadre, en prenant soin d'enlever les petits fragments de verre.

Après avoir enlevé toutes les traces de colle et de verre du cadre, nettoyez les zones d'adhérence avec de l'alcool isopropylique à 90 % (ou plus) et un chiffon non pelucheux ou un filtre à café. Balayez dans une seule direction, pas dans les deux sens.

Cela permet d'éliminer tout résidu d'adhésif restant et de préparer la surface pour le nouvel adhésif.

Si le cadre est tordu, ou s'il reste de la colle ou des restes de verre, le nouvel écran ne se monte pas correctement et risque d'être endommagé. Si nécessaire, remplacez le cadre.

La meilleure façon de fixer le nouvel écran est d'utiliser une feuille de ruban adhésif double face coupé sur mesure. Appliquez le ruban adhésif à l'arrière de l'écran, puis faites passer soigneusement le câble d'affichage à travers le cadre. Alignez l'écran et fixez-le en appuyant dessus.
