MacBook air 2008 not turning on on battery power but turns on with charger cable battery indicator shows fully charged, have done smc reset no change. Powers on and off on charge cable, remove cable dies instantly.
Could not run coconut battery on lion so tried this one not sure how accurate it is.

I think you really need a new battery! A batteries lifespan is about 1000, I think you pushed it a bit ;-}

Ha yes I don't think that was quite right I'm just going to order a new battery and see what happens.
