Background
The Roomba by iRobot is an automated vacuum that cleans on a schedule or press of a button. The 980 model, iRobot's newest iteration, was released in September 2015. It is the only model to feature the vSLAM (visual simultaneous localization and mapping) which allows the Roomba to map one floor of an area and clean more effectively. The 980 also allows Wi-Fi connectivity and controls through the iPhone and Android app. The 980 serves as the biggest improvement to the original Roomba design.
